Fascia & Soffit Cleaning in Liverpool
Fascia and soffit cleaning in Liverpool removes green algae staining, grime and cobwebs from the UPVC boards around your roofline. We soft wash and hand-finish the fascia, soffits and gutter line, restoring a fresh white finish that transforms the look of the whole property.
The roofline takes a beating in Liverpool. Rain splashes dirt up from the ground, algae creeps across shaded UPVC, and within a few years white fascia turns a streaky green-grey. It's one of the first things visitors notice — and one of the cheapest parts of the house to refresh.
We clean fascia, soffits and the gutter line with a soft wash and careful hand-finishing, lifting the staining without scratching the UPVC. It's often done alongside gutter cleaning, since we're already set up at the roofline — and the combination makes the whole property look cared for.

What affects the price?
We quote every fascia and soffit clean individually. The main factors are:
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Length of roofline | More metres of fascia means more time. |
| Level of staining | Light dust is quick; years of green algae takes longer. |
| Height and access | Two-storey rooflines and awkward corners add time. |
| UPVC vs painted timber | Painted timber needs a gentler approach. |
| Combined with gutters | Adding gutter clearance to the same visit. |
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between fascia and soffit?
The fascia is the vertical board the gutter is fixed to — it's what you see from the street. The soffit is the horizontal board underneath, bridging the gap between the wall and the fascia. Both are usually UPVC on modern homes, both collect grime, and we clean both as part of the service.
Can you remove the green staining?
Yes — the green staining is algae, and it lifts off UPVC well with soft washing and hand-finishing. Very old staining that's been there for many years can be more stubborn, but in the great majority of cases the boards come back to a fresh finish. We'll give you an honest assessment before we start.
Do you clean painted timber fascia?
Yes, with extra care. Painted timber can't take the same approach as UPVC — we use a gentler wash and check the paintwork first. If the paint is flaking or the timber is soft underneath, we'll tell you honestly: cleaning won't fix rotten timber, and we'd rather say so than take your money for a poor result.
How often should fascia and soffits be cleaned?
Every year or two keeps them looking fresh in our climate. Shaded, north-facing rooflines green up fastest. Many customers have it done alongside their yearly gutter clean — we're already at the roofline, so combining the two is efficient and the whole thing looks finished.
Will cleaning damage the UPVC?
No. We don't use abrasive pads or harsh scouring on UPVC — just a soft wash and hand-finishing with appropriate cleaning solution. The boards keep their finish and colour. What damages UPVC is years of neglect followed by someone attacking it with a pressure washer; our method avoids that entirely.
Can you do this with gutter cleaning?
Absolutely — it's the most common combination we do. We're already set up with ladders at the roofline for the gutters, so adding fascia and soffit cleaning is efficient. The whole roofline — gutters, fascia, soffits — looks uniformly fresh in a single visit, and it's simpler than booking two separate jobs.
